About
In January 2013 I defended a dissertation on communities, place and cultural battles at Columbia University. What I believe my completion of a dissertation in contemporary history demonstrates is that I am capable of managing a massive quantity of messy, heterogenous information, categorizing and parsing it, analyzing the significance of the social phenomena revealed, and writing up an organized, coherent and clear account of what I learned from my sources.
I am also a web developer, an evolving skillset that I have been steadily building over the past decade. I combine technical skills with my research to produce experiments in digital history: exploiting digital tools to analyze data and leveraging the potential of dynamic web publishing to present information in new ways.
I have recently relocated to Zurich and am searching for a job that would allow me to put these skills to good use and to continue to learn and develop new ones.
